2. Writing Your Personal Statement:
- Write clearly and concisely but ensure your passion shows through
- Strike a balance between being direct and introducing yourself properly
- Make each word count - pack a punch with your language
- Evoke emotion - clearly communicate what you're trying to convey
- Include relevant moments that shaped your Kappa Delta experience
- Show how KD impacted your life as a whole
- Provide sufficient detail but avoid tangents that lose focus

3. Authenticity:
- Be authentic to yourself - don't tell them what you think they want to hear
- Speak your truth - be confident in your personal statements
- Let your personality shine - show who you really are
- Be confidently you - whether shy or outgoing

4. Timing:
- Take your time - no need to rush
- Save and take breaks - your progress is saved and you can return later
- No pressure for early completion - no bonus points for finishing first day
- No penalty for finishing late - submit anytime before the deadline

5. If Not Awarded:
- Reapply each year
- Contact the KDF programs coordinator with specific questions about your application
- Continue improving your application year to year
