JSFPR: Educational Grant

The Julian Schwinger Foundation for Physics Research (JSF) offers an educational grant aimed at innovative research and educational initiatives in physics. Grants of up to $100k per year for two years are available, with no overhead or salary for recipients. Funded projects must demonstrate creativity and feasibility in areas such as multi-scale physics. JSF prioritizes early-stage research that lacks support from other funding sources, enhancing educational opportunities for undergraduates and young researchers.

Letter of Inquiry - Submit a Declaration of Intent. The DoI provides the information that the Board of Directors needs to decide whether a grant proposal should be invited.Full Proposal - Invite Only - Your Declaration of Intent will be processed, and you may be asked to provide further information or submit a grant proposal.

What we fund:
High-Priority: Projects in multi-scale physics, such as energy concentration phenomena.Open to All: JSF values creativity, scholarship, and feasibility. We seek well-founded, daring physics proposals in any area with relevance to experiments.Scope of Funding: $100k per year for 2 years. No overhead, no salary for the grant recipient.Event Support: Grants are available for supporting undergraduate research or young participants at workshops, conferences, and summer schools.

Eligibility

Funds are available for improving educational opportunities at the undergraduate level and above.

Ineligibility

The recipient of a JSF grant cannot receive a salary payment from the grant award.
