Overview: Awarded annually to top male and female riders in USA Cycling's Collegiate Cycling programs who exemplify outstanding qualities and character traits.

  • Background: John Stenner (1992 Olympian and U.S. National Team member) was one of the founding fathers of Collegiate Cycling. He died in May 1994 when struck by a pick-up truck near Mead, Colorado at age 29. The scholarship fund was established from donations to the family and converted into an endowment, funded by annual donations to the USA Cycling Foundation.
