John Redfearn Memorial Scholarship Grant

The John Redfearn Memorial Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, supports students from local high schools pursuing careers in agriculture. Eligible applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate involvement in school and community activities. This scholarship aims to enhance educational opportunities and encourage personal philanthropy that meets community needs. It serves students from various Southern Wisconsin counties, fostering a commitment to agricultural education and community engagement.

The Community Foundation is a repository for more than 900 charitable funds worth more than $90 million. We service these funds by managing the investment, encouraging and supporting additions, overseeing the disbursement of grants and scholarships, and managing the requisite government paperwork.
The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin serves communities in nine Southern Wisconsin counties: Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, and Walworth.
Available to students from: Argyle High School, Belmont High School, Benton High School, Black Hawk High School, Darlington High School, Pecatonica High School, Shullsburg High School.

Eligibility

For students who will be attending an accredited college, university or technical school. Must be pursuing a career in an agriculture-related field.Must be involved in school and community activities.
