John C. Lasko Foundation Trust Mission The John C. Lasko Foundation Trust was established to build churches that will last forever and will never deviate or change from God’s mission. Mr. John C. Lasko, founder of the John C. Lasko Foundation Trust, was born November 26, 1920 in Wayne, MI. He founded Republic Tool and Die in Belleville, MI in 1940. Republic grew to become the largest privately owned tool and die company in North America. Mr. Lasko passed away on February 21, 2011 at the age of 90. Since its establishment, the John C. Lasko Foundation Trust has supported the construction of churches throughout the country. The Foundation will continue on in perpetuity as a legacy to Mr. Lasko. The Trust does not provide support for debt repayment.Grants from the Lasko Foundation are excluding areas such as the fellowship hall, classroom, office area, kitchen and baptistery.In general, we do not provide grants to: individuals; endowments; travel for individuals or groups when travel is the proposal’s primary focus; municipal and community services, such as police and fire protection; annual fundraising or membership drives; government staff positions, except in public schools; publications or audiovisual programs unless they are part of a larger project.
