About the Scholarship

This annual scholarship was created in 2010 to honor the memory of John Marona, a respected long-time civic and business leader in the Millbrook community. Mr. Marona was also head of his class as a Millbrook High School graduate.

    Eligibility Criteria

  • Target: Millbrook High School seniors
  • Selected by Millbrook HS Guidance Department
  • Selection Criteria:
  • - Student demonstrates a high level of community involvement and school spirit - The student exhibits potential for success in college - Top academic achievement is not a requirement but student should be in good academic standing

    Award Details

  • Amount: Originally $1,000 annually (later increased to $2,000)
  • Payment Timing: Scholarship check is given to the student the month after the student begins college courses
