Mission The Junior League of San Francisco is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Focus Area Since 2023, the JLSF has focused on bridging the gap of Essential Needs in the San Francisco community. Essential Needs encompasses a number of issues, but we target our work within three pillars: Housing, Food, and Basic Personal Necessities. Enabling Funds Grant The Junior League of San Francisco (JLSF) awards one-time Enabling Funds grants to San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit organizations that align with JLSF’s focus area: bridging the gap of essential needs in the San Francisco community. Priority will be given to organizations that face an urgent and short-term financial need. Examples of such needs may include, but are not limited to: A sudden loss of funding An unbudgeted expense Need for bridge funding Funding The JLSF Enabling Funds grants (up to a maximum of $5,000 per organization) enable existing nonprofit organizations to continue to provide needed services and programs in our community.
