Overview

About In 1952, my father Jim Cooper and my grandfather Bob C. Cooper laid the foundation for what would later become Midwest Bank, when they acquired Farmers National Bank in Pilger, NE. In the years since, Jim, my mother Lillian, my brother Bob, and now our kids have expanded Midwest Bank into the Nebraska communities of Creighton, Deshler, Lincoln, Norfolk, Pierce, Plainview, Wisner, and York. Along with attending to the needs of these communities in a banking capacity, the Cooper family has also striven to be a good employer, and a responsible corporate citizen who gives back to the communities it serves. In 1997, the Jim B. & Lillian F. Cooper Foundation was established to further this spirit of giving. The Jim B. & Lillian F. Cooper Foundation Grant provides assistance to non-profit organizations that embody our mission of: health, education, andrecreation.
