Overview

JICUF Global Scholarship Program - United States Scholars Initiative

Purpose: To increase the number of international, degree-seeking undergraduate students from the United States at ICU.

Award Type: Merit-based scholarship providing full-tuition support for four years of undergraduate study at ICU.

Number of Awards: Two incoming first-year students annually (starting 2018).

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be United States citizens
  • Must have completed high school in the United States
  • Must demonstrate an interest in Japan, the Japanese language, and the liberal arts

  • Applicants from the United States
  • Study location: International Christian University (ICU), Japan

Background

Launched in 2017 as part of JICUF's comprehensive scholarship program reform. The reform aims to increase international degree-seeking undergraduate students at ICU, further geographic and socioeconomic diversity of the ICU student body, and create a network of scholarship recipients.
