Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation Grant

The Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation Grant supports community and charitable initiatives across several sectors, including education and health. The Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation, Inc. was created by Jewett City Savings Bank for the support and benefit of community, charitable, educational, and other benevolent purposes. Since its founding in 2004, the foundation has donated over $1.3 million to community initiatives. In 2024 alone, the foundation awarded 83 grants totalling $116,408 to support a wide range of local programs and services.
The amount of grants to qualified non-profit organizations is determined by demonstrated needs and existing resources.
Types of Support
Grants will be made for existing program support, general support, special projects, and/or start-up endeavors covering a variety of issues impacting the community. The maximum grant amount is $5,000.

Eligibility

Geographic Focus
The Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation’s financial grants and monetary gifts support qualifying non-profit organizations whose work benefits the population of those communities in which the Bank has a major presence.
The Foundation considers grant proposals from organizations including non-profits as defined in IRS Codes section 501(c)(3) or a governmental unit referred to in section 170(c)(1).
It also accepts applications from organizations serving households in our defined market area
Organizations that we have financially supported in the past; organizations that direct services to low- to moderate-income households in our defined market area
Organizations that support development and maintenance of housing for low- to moderate-income households in our defined market area
Organizations dedicated to improving the quality of community life in our defined market area
Other qualifying organizations whose goals are determined to be consistent with the Foundation’s mission.

Ineligibility

The Foundation does not provide funding for individuals, sports, individual schools or religious groups.
