James B. Linsmayer Foundation Grant

The James B. Linsmayer Foundation Grant supports programs in arts, culture, education, health, and human services primarily within the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Established in memory of James B. Linsmayer, the foundation aims to be a strategic partner in these vital areas. Eligible grantees include public charities recognized under IRC guidelines, with no geographic limitations but a preference for local organizations. While start-ups may be considered, funding for organizational expenses is not permitted.

There are no program limitations, but the Foundation has a practice of primarily supporting areas of arts and culture, education, health and human services.

Eligibility

Grantees must be qualified as public charities under IRC section 501(c)(3), and qualified under IRC section 170(b)(1)(a).There are no geographic limitations; however, the foundation has a practice of primarily supporting organizations located in the vibrant Twin Cities of Minnesota.Support is focused on program operations, operating support, and other specific or targeted programs.

Ineligibility

Although the Foundation will consider assisting start-up organizations, funding may not be requested for organizational or start-up expenses.
