The Iseminger Endowment for the Arts was established by Gordon and Trudy Iseminger in 2017 to provide support for the arts across the region. Funds seek to provide exposure and access to artistic and cultural experiences which generate artistic growth and creativity for all ages. Although funding is open to all art forms, preference may be given to musical performance. Proposed projects must fulfill the following criteria: Consist of one or more specific and connected events or activities with a beginning and an end, explicit objectives, and a predetermined cost.Be open to the public and follow ADA requirements.Take place in and benefit the residents of Grand Forks, Walsh, and/or Polk Counties.Not request more than $20,000 from the Iseminger Fund for the Arts Grant Program.Eligibility

Applicants for the Arts Regrant Program must fulfill the following criteria:Be a nonprofit organization with tax exempt status in North Dakota or be fiscally sponsored by a nonprofit with such tax exempt status in North Dakota.Have principal operations in Grand Forks County or Polk County, unless prior approval received.Be current with all reports if a prior Community Foundation grant recipient, including previous Arts Regrant reports.Demonstrate general fiscal responsibility and agree to use the grant funds to further the arts in our community.Have a Board of Directors that meets on a regular basis.Submit a complete and accurate application, providing all requested information, by the stated deadline.Ineligibility
Funding may not be used for:Overhead operational funding.Alcoholic beverages.Awards, regrants, redistributions, donations, contributions, prizes, or gifts to any other person, organization, or entity.Cash reserves, endowment funds, or activities that are primarily for religious or political purposes.Commercial (for-profit) enterprises or activities, including concessions, food, clothing, artwork, or other items for resale. This includes online or virtual sales/shops.Construction, purchase, or renovation of facilities.General fundraising.General miscellaneous or contingency costs.Land purchase costs.Lobbying, including activities intended to influence the outcome of elections or influence government officials regarding pending legislation, either directly or through specific lobbying appeals to the public.Mortgage interest, fines and penalties, bad debt costs, or deficit reduction.Rental costs for home office workspace owned by individuals or entities affiliated with the applicant organization.Public artwork.Social activities such as receptions, parties, or galas.Sub-awards to replace lost revenue.Travel costs.Vehicles purchases.Visa costs paid to the U.S. government.Voter registration drives and related activities.Costs supported by any other federal funding. This includes federal funding received either directly from a federal agency or indirectly from a pass-through organization such as a state arts agency, regional arts organization, or a grant made to another entity.Expenditures related to compensation to foreign nationals when those expenditures are not in compliance with regulations issued by the U.S. Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control.
