IRSS Young Investigator Award
An engraved plaque and a cash stipend ($500) will be awarded to a scientist who has made significant contributions to the field of inhalation or respiratory toxicology. The nomination letter (this should be on letterhead) should summarize the candidate’s scientific contributions, including originality, creativity, and impact on the field of inhalation/respiratory toxicology, and should include a curriculum vitae The nomination letter can be signed by one or multiple individuals. Secondary supporting letters are welcome but no more than 2 supporting letters will be evaluated.
Eligibility

* The recipient must be within 15 years of obtaining their highest earned degree at the time when the award is presented (this date should be indicated in the applicant’s documents submitted for the award).
* Nominees must be members of the Inhalation and Respiratory Specialty Section.
* Nominations of unsuccessful candidates will be considered for two additional years unless the nomination is withdrawn by the nominator or the individual who is nominated becomes ineligible.
