About Us Mission Statement The Henry County Community Foundation, Inc. is a public trust which secures funds for sustainable philanthropic purposes. Our mission is to: help where the needs are the greatest, and the benefits to the community and its citizens are most substantial; provide public-spirited donors a vehicle for using their gifts in the best possible way now and in the future as conditions inevitably change; and provide excellent stewardship of those gifts which it receives. About the Foundation Founded in 1985 as a resource and steward in philanthropy, the Foundation manages nearly $62 million in charitable assets and 603 individual funds – each of which supports the unique charitable intent of the donor who established the fund. There is no minimum donation to an established Fund for a cause you care about. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $33 million in grants and scholarships and is a National Standards certified community foundation. Internship Grant Program Competitive grant funding for selected local nonprofits to support an intern(s). The Foundation is pleased to offer this program for 2026. The application will run March 2, 2026 through April 1, 2026. Those chosen will receive funds to hire the intern to run from May 1st, 2026- August 15th, 2026. HCCF will provide funding for 15 hours a week and a minimum hourly rate of $15.00, with payroll expenses included. A financial report and an outcome report will be required at the completion of the internship.

Eligibility

Non Profit Eligibility: The Non Profit must be legally established as a Non Profit who provides services in Henry County and a public charity recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. The Non Profit must have a board of directors or county committee that broadly represents Henry County. The Non Profit must be able to demonstrate that financial controls and procedures are in place to safeguard and account for its assets. (i.e. the ability to pay appropriate payroll taxes for intern.) Student Eligibility: Henry County residents, full or part-time undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in accredited two-year or four-year Indiana colleges or universities.
