Internship Employer Wage Reimbursement Program
Overview: CareerEdge offers a generous internship employer wage reimbursement program to help local employers utilize interns to meet workforce needs while providing students and recent graduates with supplemental income and work experience.

Employer Eligibility Requirements
- Must be located in Manatee or Sarasota County
- Must pay a minimum of $15.00/hour to participating interns
- Must fall into one of the following industry categories: - Manufacturing - Healthcare - Skill Trades - Transportation
- Must agree to provide a meaningful, skills-based internship experience
- Must receive email approval from CareerEdge prior to internship beginning
- A maximum of two internship reimbursements allowed per organization per calendar year
Intern Eligibility Requirements
- Must be U.S. citizens or eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Internship must fall into one of the following industry categories: - Manufacturing - Healthcare - Skill Trades - Transportation
Key Notes
- This is NOT an internship referral service; employers and interns are responsible for identifying and selecting their own opportunities
- Wage reimbursement is based upon available resources and meeting employer requirements
- Funding is awarded once the internship experience is approved prior to the internship beginning and all feedback forms have been received at the end of the internship
- Proof of wages required

How to Apply
Application Process
For Employers:
1. Identify and select your own intern candidates
2. Ensure your business meets all eligibility requirements
3. Submit application to CareerEdge
4. Receive email approval from CareerEdge prior to internship beginning
5. Pay intern minimum $15.00/hour
6. Provide meaningful, skills-based internship experience
7. Collect feedback form from intern at completion
8. Submit proof of wages paid
9. Receive wage reimbursement (up to $1,500)
For Interns:
1. Identify and select internship opportunities with eligible employers
2. Confirm employer is located in Manatee or Sarasota County
3. Confirm employer will pay minimum $15.00/hour
4. Work for the employer (earn paycheck from employer)
5. Complete feedback form when internship is completed
6. Submit feedback form to program
