International, Post-doc Research Fellowship Program Grant

The American Italian Cancer Foundation (AICF) offers a prestigious International Post-doc Research Fellowship Program aimed at supporting innovative research in cancer biology and treatment. Open to Italian citizens with advanced degrees obtained within the last three years, the program encourages applications for both basic and clinical research. Typically, applications are accepted from January to February, with fellowships granted for one year, potentially extendable for a second year.

To date, AICF has effectively launched the careers of 400 scientists who have been awarded 580 fellowships since the Program’s inception in 1983.
AICF's call for applications usually opens in January and closes at the end of February. Eligible applications include proposals for basic or translational cancer research, as well as clinical research.
Each fellowship is awarded for a one-year period. A few selected fellowships may be considered for a second year of funding.

Eligibility

Although eligibility criteria may change in time, AICF's Fellowships are available to Italian citizens with an Advance Degree (PhD, MD or DVM) received no more than 3 years prior to the due date of the application (6 years for Medical Doctors).Applicants already living in the US, cannot have resided in the US for more than two years from the due date of the application.
