Funder: Kentucky School for the Blind Charitable Foundation

Program: INSIGHT Post-Secondary Preparation Program

Award Amount: $5,000 per recipient + fully equipped laptop

Geographic Scope: Kentucky (only program in Kentucky dedicated to this purpose)

Purpose: Promote college and career readiness for students who are blind and visually impaired

Program Focus:

Self-advocacy promotion

Independent living preparation

College experience simulation

Eligibility:

Must successfully complete two years of the INSIGHT Program

Students who are blind or visually impaired

Award Components:

$5,000 scholarship

Fully equipped laptop computer

Program Schedule: Typically held in early June (2022 program: June 4-11, 2022)
