Innovation Grants

How to Apply

1. Review Requirements:
- Review the Foundation Innovation Grant Scoring Rubric before submitting
- Complete the online application form
- Complete a detailed budget sheet (Excel or PDF template provided)

2. Application Requirements:
- Applicant Name(s)
- Applicant Email Address
- Applicant Phone Number
- School
- Position/Grade Level

3. Narrative Components (do NOT include identifiable information like name, school, grade, or classroom):
- Project Title: Name of the project
- Project Overview: Describe how funds will be used to enhance teaching and learning in your classroom. Be specific about innovation and how technology will be used.
- Project Impact:
- How many students are impacted?
- How does this project enhance educational outcomes?
- Include goals and objectives
- Learning Enhancements: Describe specific learning activities that grant materials would enhance and what needs will be met
- Project & Sustainability Timeline: Provide implementation timeline and how materials will be used over time
- Technology Component: Indicate if grant request involves technology and/or software (Yes/No)

4. Budget Sheet Requirements:
- List all requested materials with individual costs
- Include shipping and handling fees
- Add webpage links to items that can be ordered online when possible
- Verify spreadsheet prints with all information viewable

5. Principal Notification:
- Provide Principal Email Address
- A copy of application will be emailed to principal

6. Submission:
- Submit online application
- Upload project budget sheet (up to 3 files)
- If unable to upload file, email budget sheet to Denise.Haycock@canyonsdistrict.org
- Deadline: September 25, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.

7. Additional Guidance:
- Be concise and clear in request description
- Make sure project is measurable and data-driven
- Many reviewers have not been educators, so explain clearly
- Funds must be spent during the school year in which they are received
- Purchases made by district, not individual grant recipients
