About Sealaska's Scholarships Sealaska is dedicated to advancing the opportunities of its shareholders and descendants through leadership opportunities that include access to higher education and vocational training. To date, Sealaska has awarded over 12,000 scholarships totaling over $26 million. The scholarship program is administered by Sealaska Heritage Institute (SHI) on behalf of Sealaska Corporation. Indigenizing Education for Alaska Scholarships Full time or part time students at UAS, UAF, UAA, or APU as an undergraduate junior or senior or graduate student pursuing an education certificate or degree.

To qualify, individuals must meet the following criteria: Alaska Native as defined as "Native" under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act 43 U.S.C. 1602(b).Enrolled to Sealaska Corporation, OR are Native lineal descendants of Alaska Natives enrolled to Sealaska Corporation whether the applicant owns Sealaska Corporation stock or not.Have a GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate, and 3.0 for graduate.
