Overview

Program Description Per Minnesota Statute 145A.14, the purpose of the Indian Health Grant Program is to provide assistance to eligible applicants to furnish clinical health services, including culturally informed preventive, medical, dental, and/or mental health care services, for American Indian people that reside off reservations. Funding Funding will be allocated through a competitive process. If selected, you may only incur eligible expenditures when the grant agreement is fully executed, and the grant has reached its effective date. The Legislature appropriates up to $174,000 each Fiscal Year. Annual funding will be allocated among eligible applicants over a 2-year project period, from January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2026. The final six months of funding for July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026 will be contingent upon favorable legislative action on the state budget request for the 2025/2026 biennium period.
