NOTE: All nonprofits interested in applying for an Impact100 Westchester grant are strongly encouraged to attend an information session in late fall, prior to the January they wish to apply. Impact100 Westchester Impact100 Westchester is a women's collective giving organization engaging women in philanthropy. Thanks to our members, we awarded $267,000 in the 2023 Grant Cycle, including two $80,000 Transformational Project Grants, three Core Mission Grants and four new Boost Grants that focus on smaller nonprofits. We have awarded over $2.7 million to Westchester nonprofits since our founding. What types of grants does Impact100 Westchester award? Impact100 Westchester awards three types of grants to qualified nonprofit organizations whose applications have gone through a thorough and rigorous review process: Transformational Project GrantsCore Mission GrantsImpact Boost Awards (separate application targeting Westchester nonprofits with a total annual revenue of less than $250,000.) What is a Transformational Project Grant? Transformational Project Grants fund projects and programs that are significant to the recipient organizations and their ability to serve the needs of the Westchester community. Each grantee will be expected to negotiate and sign a Grant Agreement and will be responsible for periodic reporting to Impact100 Westchester. How many Transformational Project Grants will be awarded? The number of Transformational Project Grants vary from year to year, depending upon the number of members. The number and dollar amount of Transformational Project Grants will be announced in early January; this information will be posted on the Home page and sent by email to nonprofit organizations on our mailing list. What is the amount of each Transformational Project Grant? In our prior grant cycles, Transformational Project Grants have been awarded in the $75,000 to $100,000 range. What is a Core Mission Grant? Core Mission Grants range from $20,000 - $30,000 that recipients will be entitled to use as they see fit, consistent with their mission. These grants do not need a Grant Agreement and do not require ongoing reporting obligations to Impact100 Westchester. Can I apply for a Core Mission Grant? No, all applicants to Impact100 Westchester apply for a Transformational Project Grant. The results of the membership vote at the Annual Meeting determine the type of grant the nonprofit is awarded (Transformational Project or Core Mission).

Organization must:Be a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization operating or proposing to operate programs for the benefit of Westchester residents and communitiesBe in operation for at least 36 months prior to applying for this grantMaintain 3 years of CPA audited, or reviewed, financial statements (as required by NYS)Have total revenue between $250,000 and $25,000,000, excluding Medicare and Medicaid reimbursementsNot have received an Impact100 Westchester Transformational Project Grant payment in the past 36 monthsNot be a Town or VillageProject must:Serve residents of WestchesterExpend funds in WestchesterBe a new program, the expansion of an existing program or a capital projectBe transformational for the organization and/or those it servesHave a plan for sustainability and assessmentExpend Grant funds within 18 months of the initial Grant installmentNot have allocated organizational overhead in excess of 15% of the Transformational Project Grant amountA Core Mission Grant recipient can apply for a Transformational Project Grant the following year. Organizations that apply but are not selected as Finalists can also reapply in the future.

Ineligibility

Impact100 Westchester will not fund Transformational Project Grants for the following:Activities that are: partisan, religion-based, annual or political appeals, or in support of any political partyLoans or debt reduction, interim/bridge financingOperating FundsEndowmentsResearchProjects benefiting a for-profit organization, private foundation or individualGeneral capital campaigns or fund drivesTransformational Project Grant recipients may not apply until their project is completed, 100% of the Grant funds have been paid and all required reporting has been submitted.
