Impact100 Essex Impact Grants

Impact100 Essex is a women-led giving circle dedicated to empowering underrepresented communities in Essex County, NJ. Each year, they award a $100,000 grant to support innovative projects from local non-profits. The grants aim to foster measurable, sustainable change, encouraging organizations to expand their impact. Eligible applicants must operate within Essex County and be established 501(c)(3) organizations, ensuring they meet the community's most pressing needs.

Impact100 Essex is a giving circle founded and funded by women in Essex County.
Our mission is to engage women in collective giving, to provide transformative grants to organizations that serve underrepresented communities in Essex County, NJ, and to spur local non-profits to dream big – and succeed!
Each year, Impact100 Essex awards a grant of $100,000 to support an important, innovative project managed by a local non-profit organization addressing the needs of historically underrepresented communities.
Impact100 Essex currently offer two types of grants- Impact Grants and Equity Grants.
Impact grant is a project-based grant of $100,000 awarded to one organization yearly for a transformational project in Essex County.
We are looking for projects that are:
Innovating, deepening or expanding your current work, leading to measurable, sustainable change.Empowering, addressing under-met needs and an underserved constituency.Strategic. Why this approach? Why will it be effective?Timely. How is this project responding to current needs?Spending the grant within two years, and evidence that all funding needs will be fully met.

Eligibility

Applicants Must:Deliver services within Essex County, NJ.Be a 501(c)(3) or have a fiscal sponsor who is one.Have operated for at least three years.Have annual revenues of at least $100,000.Be able to provide your organization’s finalized financial documentation, either 990s for the past two consecutive years or certified financial statements for the past three consecutive years.

We do NOT fundLobbying, partisan or religious activitiesDebt reduction, interim or bridge funding, retroactive fundingEndowments, scholarships or fundraisingRe-granting or grants to individualsGeneral operating expenses or overhead beyond allowable 20% of proposed project’s budget
