Overview:
The Impact Fund is CMP's philanthropic program designed to inspire and support mission-driven entrepreneurs and institutions to solve complex, real-world problems ranging from national security to local communities and environmental challenges.

Program Purpose

• Award grants to universities and institutions fostering mission-driven entrepreneurship
• Support innovative solutions addressing government agency challenges
• Accelerate mission-driven ideas and scale their impact
• Support experiential learning through programs like Hacking for Homeland Security (H4HS)

Award Amount

• $20,000 per grant (based on Carnegie Mellon University award example from 2021)

• Amount: $20,000
• Purpose: Support solutions from CMU's first Hacking for Homeland Security course
• Focus: Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (CISA) challenges including:
- Countering disinformation on COVID-19 - Fostering business information sharing for small-medium businesses - General cybersecurity and policy challenges
