IgniteU Fellowship Program

Organization: IgniteU, powered by NYSTEC

Geographic Scope: New York State

Program Focus:
IgniteU is dedicated to sustainable development of New York, designing programming to support workforce development and economic growth through education and hands-on experiences. The fellowship provides students with first-hand experience in business projects and economics, helping fellows gain valuable professional skills working as a team on business challenges.

Target Participants:

  • College and university students from New York institutions

  • Recent participants from: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University at Albany, Hudson Valley Community College, Mohawk Valley Community College, and Le Moyne College

    • Program Structure:

  • Duration: Approximately 3 months (e.g., January 21 through April 22 for Spring 2025 cohort)

  • Weekly curriculum in design thinking

  • Onsite work with partner organizations

  • Interdisciplinary team-based projects

  • Culminating event with final project presentations
