Summary
The Idaho Humanities Council offers K-12 Grants to support Idaho K-12 teachers with awards up to $1,000. Applications are accepted three times a year, with deadlines on April 1st, August 1st, and December 1st. NOTE: Once all funding for the current fiscal year has been spent, the IHC will not accept any additional applications. The IHC will begin accepting applications again at the start of the next fiscal year, November 1st. About IHC’s K-12 Grants are focused on supporting Idaho K-12 teachers in a variety of ways. With an award size of up to $500, K-12 Grants are due at the first of each month. K-12 Grants have a 2-week waiting period for a decision from the due date. Any Idaho non-profit or government agency may also apply for projects which focus on K-12 teachers.The IHC welcomes repeat applications for yearly programs of the same format from the same organization.The IHC expects to see changes in the program rather than an exact repeat from the year prior.Due to limited funding, the IHC will only award up to 2 grants per organization in a year, including colleges and universities.We can only fund up to 50% of a project. IHC funds cannot be used for the following:LobbyingAdvocacyAn effort by an individual or group to influence decisions within political, economic, and social institutions. This can include things like letter-writing, collecting signatures, calls to action for specific policies, and more.
