IATSE Local 600 Hardship Fund Grant

The IATSE Local 600: Traditional Hardship Fund Grant provides emergency financial assistance to performing arts and entertainment professionals in times of unexpected need. This grant supports basic living expenses like healthcare and housing, aiming to prevent eviction or shut-offs. Eligible members must have been in good standing for at least two years and have faced work loss due to illness or disasters. The fund ensures support during critical times, promoting stability within the community.

Emergency Financial Assistance is available to eligible performing arts and entertainment professionals:

• In times of unexpected critical needTo assist towards basic living expenses such as health care, housing and utilities to prevent eviction or shut-offs
• Traditional Hardship Fund Grant:
• Provides assistance for members facing work loss due to illness, injury or man-made or natural disasters.

Eligibility

Members are eligible for only one Local 600 Hardship Fund at any given time. The applicant must have been a member in good standing for at least two continuous years at the onset of the qualifying illness. Verification of membership status is required. The member must have earned at least $25,000 in covered earnings over the past five years.An extreme catastrophic injury or illness which prevents that member from performing covered work for at least six months.A severe workplace injury while in Local 600 covered work prevents the member from performing covered work.A man-made or natural disaster that prevents the member from performing covered work.
