I Will Wait For You: The Rick Salmastrelli Scholarship

Mission: To highlight a Lawrence High School senior sports player that has made teamwork and team camaraderie a priority in their high school sports career. The scholarship honors Rick Salmastrelli's 40-year involvement in the Lawrence sports scene and his appreciation for student-athletes who embody the spirit of teamwork with the mantra "there is no 'i' in team."

Geographic Scope: Lawrence High School seniors

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a Lawrence High School senior
• Must play on at least one Lawrence High School sports team
• Must be going on to post-secondary education
• Must embody the following values: good sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie among peers

Application Process

Required Materials:

1. Lawrence High School Transcript (including GPA)
2. Lawrence High School Student Resume
3. Two (2) recommendation letters - can be from a coach, teacher, or guidance counselor
4. Completed application form

2. What qualities do you and Rick Salmastrelli share?
3. Describe yourself in 5 words.
4. What is your favorite memory, moment, or event that you have experienced during your time as a Lawrence High School sports player?
