Overview
Hunter Smith Africa Scholarship
Overview: The Hunter Smith Africa Scholarship fund was created in honor of Hunter Smith, who passed away on April 16, 2016. Hunter traveled to Zambia with Kershaw's Challenge in 2012 and 2013, where his life was transformed and he impacted hundreds of Zambian children.
Purpose: This fund raises money with one primary goal: to send someone to Zambia with Arise Africa every year in Hunter's honor.
Geographic Scope: Zambia, Africa
Background: Hunter Smith was known for his larger-than-life personality, his love for children, and his role as the heartbeat and energy of mission trip teams. He gave all of himself for the love of others, particularly the children of Zambia. The scholarship was established to celebrate his legacy and continue his mission.
