Hughes & Jones Music Fund - Clark and Washoe Counties

Background: The Hughes & Jones Music Fund was created with the singular objective of financing musical instruments for Nevada's public schools. The goal is to provide instruments to students who might face challenges affording them, allowing local schools to retain ownership for continuous student use.

  • How to Apply

    Application Process

    Online Application Portal:

  • Application submitted through NCF online grant portal

  • Users must register/create an account
  • Registration Steps:
    1. Access the Hughes & Jones Music Grant Cycle Application portal
    2. Select "Grant Applicant" under Portal Access
    3. Enter school name under Organization Name
    4. If school name cannot be found, select "Create New Organization" and enter school information
    5. Complete all required fields in organizational profile
    6. Submit proposal by deadline

    Application Requirements:

  • Complete organizational profile (required before submission)

  • Proposal describing need for instruments

  • School information
  • Proposal Deadline: Typically March of grant year (2024 deadline was March 13, 2024)

  • Late proposals will not be acknowledged or reviewed

  • Next cycle deadline for 2026: March 2026 (estimated)
  • Award Notification: Announcements made in spring/April of grant year
