As one of 29 affiliates of the Arkansas Community Foundation, it has established more than 129 funds and awarded over $16 million in cumulative grants over three decades of service. These grants address a wide range of community priorities—from alleviating food insecurity and improving health outcomes to supporting the arts and advancing education. The Foundation is also a key supporter of the statewide Grade Level Reading Initiative, a collaborative effort among nonprofits, families, educators, and community leaders to ensure that all Arkansas children read at grade level by the end of third grade. Continuing its commitment to youth development, the Foundation’s current grant cycle focuses on programs that benefit children and young people in Garland County.
