    Provide flexible, rolling grants to support residents who want to pursue careers in nursing. Addresses critical national and regional demand for nurses and frontline caregivers while creating pathways to socio-economic mobility.

      Award Details

    • Up to 15 students per year (starting with Fall 2027 cohort)
    • Up to $5,000 per applicant
    • Rolling basis (applications accepted continuously)
    • One-time award with opportunity to re-apply annually
    • Renewable for up to four years with continued academic progress

    • Tuition
    • Fees
    • Books
    • Required testing/credentialing
    • Exam/licensure expenses and related academic costs

      Ineligible Expenses

    • Non-academic expenses (e.g., housing, food)

    • STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) training
    • RN (Registered Nurse) training
    • Nursing certificate programs
    • Credential completion
    • Nursing pathways of applicant's choice

    • Must be currently enrolled or officially accepted into a nursing pathway
    • Must be completing U.S. licensure steps
    • Continued financial support tied to academic progress each term
    • Must participate in quarterly cohort check-ins (in-person and remote options available)

    Background

    Meeting the critical need for nurses and frontline caregivers while nursing school and continuing education remain very expensive. Program launched to help pay for community members entering or advancing in the nursing profession.
