We cultivate the next generation of leaders and innovators as they navigate advanced degree programs and become active members of research, engineering and business worldwide. The foundation also works to secure the endowments for Optica’s awards and honors programs. The foundation is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Hilbert Memorial Student Travel Grant
Established in 2009 by Optical Research Associates (ORA), now the Optical Solutions Group at Synopsys, as a memorial to ORA’s former President and Chief Executive Officer Robert S. Three grants of USD 1,000 can be awarded annually to allow students to travel to the International Optical Design Conference (IODC) and/or the Frontiers in Optics (FiO+LS) conference.
