FiO + LS Incubic Milton Chang Travel Grant

The FiO + LS Incubic Milton Chang Travel Grant, funded by the Optica Foundation, offers seven $1,000 grants to support students presenting papers at the Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science conference. Eligible applicants must submit their paper to the competition and demonstrate a need for travel support. This initiative aids in fostering research and innovation in the optics field.

Optica Foundation
We cultivate the next generation of leaders and innovators as they navigate advanced degree programs and become active members of research, engineering and business worldwide. The foundation also works to secure the endowments for Optica’s awards and honors programs. The foundation is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Funded by an endowment from Milton and Rosalind Chang, this program provides 7 grants of USD 1,000 to enable students who present papers to travel to the Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science (FiO+LS), the annual meeting of Optica and the American Physical Society Division of Laser Science (APS/DLS). Grants are usually awarded to the presenter and/or first author of the paper.

Eligibility

Opt-in to the competition during the regular "call for papers" submission process for FIO.Have an accepted paper to FiO.Demonstrate need for travel support.
