Overview

HFW Healthcare Career Scholarship Program - College Healthcare Foundation of Wilson (HFW) established the Healthcare Career Scholarship Program to expand access to education and training for individuals pursuing careers in healthcare, to strengthen the local healthcare workforce, and improve community health outcomes by investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals in Wilson County. Recipients of the scholarship must be college students who have been accepted into a healthcare related program at either Barton College or Wilson Community College. Each school will have the ability to award two $2,500 scholarships to students enrolled in a healthcare related program of study.

Eligibility

Current student who has been accepted into a health-related program and has at least one year left to complete at either Barton College or Wilson Community College.A full-time student.Demonstrated scholastic achievement with a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale.Exhibited leadership, positive character, and community involvement.Is not an immediate family member of a board member or staff member of the Healthcare Foundation of Wilson (i.e. child, sibling, grandchild).
