Healthcare Infection Society: Sponsored Events Grant

The Healthcare Infection Society offers a Sponsored Events Grant of up to £1,000 to support events aimed at preventing healthcare-acquired infections. Eligible events include lectures, regional gatherings, and virtual meetings, specifically targeting healthcare professionals. Applicants must be HIS members and apply three months before the event. This grant prioritizes events that cannot proceed without HIS funding, ensuring impactful educational opportunities in the UK and Ireland.

NOTE: Please apply 3 months before the event.
We will provide sponsorship of up to £1,000 to assist with the organisation of events that focus on the prevention and control of healthcare-acquired infections, to be held in an academic or healthcare setting, aimed specifically at healthcare professionals.
Types of events sponsored:

• Single lectures or small (1 day) events at an institution of higher education or a healthcare setting
• Cross-institutional events
• Regional events
• Virtual online events
• Funding
• The sponsorship package from the Society will include:
• Size of each award: up to £1,000
• Deadline: 3 months before the event
• Who: application must include one HIS member
• Where: UK and Ireland onlyPromoting the event to members and a listing on the HIS website.

Eligibility

Applications are only open to HIS members. Individuals must be a HIS members before the date of application.Events should be held in an academic or healthcare setting and can also take place in a virtual online format. Events should be aimed specifically at an audience of healthcare professionals.
