Overview

The Women’s Fund is a powerful force for women in the Hamilton area! The Fund not only raises money for women’s programs, but seeks to involve as many women as possible. The Women’s Endowment Fund of the Hamilton Community Foundation was established in 1997 as a fund committed to promote philanthropy among women and to establish a permanent, expanding endowment dedicated to the needs of women and girls in Butler County. Grant making provides assistance to programs which encourage the advancement and full participation of women and girls in the community, help them achieve their full potential, and create opportunities for economic, educational and personal growth. Grant Focus To support our mission, the Women’s Fund is interested in several areas of need in our community. A high priority is to offer innovative programs that provide learning opportunities that build job readiness skills, life skill development including self-confidence building and leadership (soft skills being addressed is a critical need). For 2020, we are especially interested in proposals that include mentoring components or exposure to role models and experiences that build awareness of options. Programs that support career mentoring, small business mentoring, trauma care training, professional development needs and financial literacy. We look favorably at proposals that demonstrate partnerships and collaborative efforts. Lower priority is given to equipment requests, requests to pay staff for existing services, and duplication of existing services.
