Hawaii Dental Service Foundation Grants

The Hawaii Dental Service Foundation Grants aim to enhance oral health in Hawaii, Guam, and Saipan by funding local non-profit organizations. Eligible organizations must have 501(c)(3) status, while grants do not cover multi-year pledges, individuals, or religious programs. This funding opportunity is vital for improving community health and ensuring equitable dental care.

The HDS Foundation was established in 1986 by Hawaii Dental Service to improve the oral health of Hawaii’s communities. Grants are distributed to local non-profit organizations for programs and projects that provide oral health education, prevent oral disease, and increase access to dental care for underserved populations.
The HDS Foundation’s objective is to improve oral health in the communities where HDS operates (Hawaii, Guam and Saipan). Grants will be limited to projects related to the advancement of oral health. HDS will consider programs and projects that promote:

• Oral health education
• Prevention of oral disease
• Access to dental care by underserved populations

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding consideration, an organization must be a charity with tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Governmental programs are also eligible.
