Overview

Purpose To support charitable projects and programs that provide essential resources and promote stability for vulnerable residents. Overview Thriving communities start with a strong foundation of support, ensuring that every resident has access to life’s essentials. The Green Lake Basic Needs Fund aims to help create this strong foundation by empowering organizations to support the stability and well-being of all residents while fostering a stronger, more connected community. Priorities Funding priority will be given to programs and projects that: Provide Community Care and Support Support individuals and families facing hardship by delivering essential resources—such as food assistance, temporary shelter, or financial aid—in ways that uphold dignity and build community connections. Improve Health and Wellness for Vulnerable Populations Enhance access to preventive care, screenings, counseling, hygiene products, and other services that promote long-term health and well-being. Address Basic Needs for Children Ensure youth have access to necessities like food, clothing, school supplies, and safe, supportive environments, including before- and after-school care programs. Build Resilience and Self-Sufficiency Equip individuals with tools to achieve stability and independence while strengthening the community’s ability to support its residents. This includes financial literacy training, job readiness programs, resource coordination, volunteer training, and community-led initiatives.
