NOTE: Organizations may apply anytime throughout the year as funding is needed. If your application is submitted after the deadline, it will be reviewed the following quarter. Who We Are Since 1983, the Topeka Community Foundation has worked to improve the quality of life in our region through an active partnership with donors and others who believe, as we do, that positive change occurs through effective charitable giving. Today, the Community Foundation manages almost 400 charitable funds established by individuals, families, and businesses and nonprofit organizations. Together, these funds represent ordinary people who have made extraordinary commitments to our community. Greater Topeka Fund The Greater Topeka Fund is a grant program to support nonprofit organizations serving Topeka and Shawnee County. Established to enhance the quality of life in the region, this grant focuses on funding specific programs and projects that address community needs and enhance quality of life in our area. Grants will be awarded up to $10,000 dollars and the focus is the nonprofit's work contributing to a socially and economically prosperous Shawnee County and does it address a clear and compelling need/opportunity. Requests should reflect the actual cost of the project. Proposals that request the full $10,000 without a clear, itemized budget need may not be competitive.
