Greater Topeka Fund Grant

The Greater Topeka Fund Grant, established by the Topeka Community Foundation, supports nonprofit organizations in Topeka and Shawnee County. With over $120,000 awarded in 2024, grants of up to $10,000 focus on projects that address community needs and enhance quality of life. Organizations can apply year-round, provided they submit a clear and itemized budget. Note that grants do not support capital campaigns or for-profit entities.

NOTE: Organizations may apply anytime throughout the year as funding is needed. If your application is submitted after the deadline, it will be reviewed the following quarter.
The Greater Topeka Fund is a grant program to support nonprofit organizations serving Topeka and Shawnee County. Established to enhance the quality of life in the region, this grant focuses on funding specific programs and projects that address community needs and enhance quality of life in our area. Grants will be awarded up to $10,000 dollars and the focus is the nonprofit's work contributing to a socially and economically prosperous Shawnee County and does it address a clear and compelling need/opportunity. Requests should reflect the actual cost of the project. Proposals that request the full $10,000 without a clear, itemized budget need may not be competitive.

Ineligibility

The Topeka Community Foundation does not award grants for the following: capital campaigns, for profit entities and political campaigns or advocacy.
