Overview
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) encourages grant applications for National Centers for Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NCBIB). NCBIB are national resource centers for conducting research and development on new technologies that are driven by the needs of basic, translational, and/or clinical researchers. NCBIB also make their technologies available to other investigators, train members of the research community in the use of the technologies and disseminate the technologies broadly.

This means that the NIH will not accept:A new (A0) application that is submitted before issuance of the summary statement from the review of an overlapping new (A0) or resubmission (A1) application.A resubmission (A1) application that is submitted before issuance of the summary statement from the review of the previous new (A0) application.An application that has substantial overlap with another application pending appeal of initial peer review (see NIH Grants Policy Statement 2.3.9.4 Similar, Essentially Identical, or Identical Applications).Renewals: Applicants may submit a Renewal application. However, NIBIB NCBIB Awards will be restricted to a total of fifteen years.
