Funder: Permanent Endowment Fund Of The Moody Memorial First United Method

The Permanent Endowment Fund (PEF) offers the Self-Reliance Services Grant to empower individuals with essential skills for independence. This grant focuses on areas such as financial literacy, job counseling, and vocational training, aiming to help recipients become responsible adults. Organizations serving Galveston and beyond can apply for funding to support projects that align with these goals.

PEF funding enables the PEF's Board of Directors, comprised of Moody Methodist Church congregants, to provide grants to non-profit organizations serving people in Galveston and around the world. Through these grants, the Permanent Endowment Fund works to advance the care of people in the Name and Spirit of Jesus Christ.
The directors are responsible for the management of PEF investments and decisions concerning grants.
The Permanent Endowment Fund allows organizations to apply for grants in one of our three grant cycles based on PEF priority topics. All grant requests made to the PEF must advance the care of people in the Name and Spirit of Jesus Christ by offering direct human services within one or more of the PEF’s priority topics.
PEF Self-Reliance Services Grant
This topic aims to ensure individuals have the skills and tools to be responsible, successful, and independent adults.
Examples include (but are not limited to):

• financial literacy/coaching,18–24-year-old responsibility programming,Parenting/neonatal education,job counseling, andvocational training/education.

Eligibility

To provide grants to non-profit organizations serving people in Galveston and around the world. To apply for a PEF grant, organizations must first complete an eligibility quiz. All three grant cycles have an eligibility quiz.Log in to the PEF's Grant Management System to access the eligibility quiz. Carefully answer all the questions and submit the form. You only get one chance to submit the eligibility quiz. You will receive notification of results.
