Grand Haven Rotary/Lynne Sherwood STRIVE Scholarship Grant

The Grand Haven Rotary/Lynne Sherwood STRIVE Scholarship supports graduating seniors from Grand Haven Area Public Schools, especially Central High School, who have benefitted from a mentor's guidance while pursuing their diploma or GED. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and academic achievements, with a thorough selection process by the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation. Applicants can submit one application for multiple scholarships, streamlining access to financial support for their educational goals.

Scholarships
Grand Haven Area Community Foundation scholarships are awarded competitively based on criteria set by donors. These criteria could include financial need, the school the applicant is attending, academic achievement, as well as personal or career goals. The Community Foundation has a rigorous internal selection process for each scholarship decision, and each applicant is reviewed in depth, and considered thoroughly.
Our scholarship program is simple. You are able to apply once for all foundation scholarships you may be eligible for. Once your application is submitted, you will be eligible for all those for which you meet the requirement.
This scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors from Grand Haven Area Public Schools, preferably from Central High School, who demonstrated that they benef tted from an adult community member or mentor who assisted and supported them while they were working toward their high school diploma or GED.

Eligibility

Interest Area: General Financial Need: ConsiderationHigh School Senior Only: YesCriteria/Description: Awarded to a graduating senior from Grand Haven Area Public Schools, preferably Central High School.The recipient will demonstrate that they have benefitted from an adult, community member, and/or mentor who assisted and supported them while they were working towards their high school diploma or GED.In addition to the application, you’ll have to submit the following documents:A copy of your high school or college transcriptAny additional required documents for specific scholarships (like recommendation letters).Page 1 of the Student Aid Report with your Student Aid Index (SAI) included on the form.
