Grace Kelly Scholarship

The Grace Kelly Scholarship program assists extraordinary aspiring theater artists at the high school level with financial support and mentorship to develop their craft and enter the professional theater pipeline.

Established: 2021 with leadership gift from the Victory Foundation

Geographic Scope: United States

Award Amounts: Two scholarship tracks

Grace Kelly Training Scholarships (Grades 9-11):

• 5 recipients selected annually
• One-time award of $1,000
• Encourages ongoing pursuit of artistic education

Grace Kelly Scholarships:

• 5 recipients selected annually
• Total of $6,000 distributed as:
  • $1,000/year for 4 years to attend college, conservatory, or pre-professional training program
  • $1,000 award upon completion
  • $1,000 internship stipend

Eligibility:

• High school students (grades 9-12)
• Demonstrated creative promise in theater
• Emphasis on traditionally underserved communities
• Identified through the International Thespian Excellence Awards (Thespys)

Selection & Support:

• Winners paired with professional mentor chosen by Princess Grace Foundation from Princess Grace Award alumni
• Selected through International Thespian Society's Thespian Excellence Awards (Thespys)
• Recognizes highest achievement in high school theater performance and technical theater

Application Process

Selection Method:

• Applicants identified and selected through the International Thespian Excellence Awards (Thespys)
• Administered by the Educational Theatre Foundation (ETF)
• Part of International Thespian Society's recognition program

Two Scholarship Tracks:

1. Grace Kelly Training Scholarships (Grades 9-11): One-time $1,000 award
2. Grace Kelly Scholarships: $6,000 total over multiple years

Post-Award Benefits:

• Professional mentorship from Princess Grace Award alumni
• Mentor chosen and paired by Princess Grace Foundation
• Support for artistic development during high school and collegiate years
