Governor's Award Scholarship

Overview: The top award presented at The Governor's Cup competition, emphasizing community outreach, team dynamics, relationships with schools and sponsors, enthusiasm for STEM, technical abilities, and on-field performance.

Award Details:

  • Three teams will be awarded (one from North, Central, and Southern regions of New Hampshire)

  • Graduating seniors on winning teams receive a semester tuition waiver

  • Award considers recent accomplishments both on and off the field, plus robot performance at Governor's Cup
  • Eligibility:

  • Must be a high school senior on a winning Governor's Award team

  • Must be a participant of the 2025/26 FIRST Robotics Competition season

  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Must be accepted by the institution through regular admission process
  • Award Use:

  • Waiver must be used within one year from the date of the competition

  • Applied to tuition only (not books, room and board, fees, or other costs of attendance)

  • Waiver is "last-dollar" and applied after any grants and scholarships received

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    No separate application required for the scholarship award itself. The award is granted based on team performance and judging at The Governor's Cup competition.

    Requirements:
    1. Team must compete in the Governor's Cup competition
    2. Winning team seniors must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    3. Must be accepted by chosen institution through regular admission process
