Goldberg-Reeder Resident Travel Grant Discover international volunteer service as a trainee. The ACR Foundation Goldberg-Reeder Resident Travel Grant, sponsored by vRad’s First Read Initiative, awards grants each year to qualified radiology and radiation oncology residents and fellows seeking to spend at least one month assisting with healthcare in a developing country. The grant was created to further encourage international volunteer service among members-in-training.

Eligibility

Awardees sign a waiver releasing the ACR of any liability or responsibility related to or in conjunction with their travel and stay.Fellowship RequirementsThe location must be a developing country, as defined by the World Bank, and travel should be confirmed (i.e., plane tickets purchased, itinerary set) by no later than December 31 of the same year. The time of dedicated service in improving healthcare in the developing country should be a minimum of one month.Recipients will share photos of their experience, agree to be interviewed about their experience, and provide a report summarizing the impact of their visit. The summary should focus on what goals were met and/or what needs are still ongoing for the program at that institution.
