Offered by the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity, this competitive grant program provides funding to help employers train and retain employees. Mid Michigan College is an approved Going PRO Training Partner.

Funding Purpose:

• Train and retain current employees
• Build skills of new hires
• Customized, short-term training tailored to business needs and employee skill levels

• Healthcare innovations

• Leadership development
• Other specialized technical and professional skills

• Mid has trained 2,100+ employees from 30+ employers across 75+ different training topics using Going PRO funds

1. Contact Mid Michigan College to begin Going PRO process
2. Work with Michigan Works! business services specialists to develop strong application
3. Collaborate on customized training plan for workforce needs
4. Submit competitive grant application
5. If approved, implement customized training program
