Overview

Global CR-CS Fellowship

Purpose: Provide an opportunity for the international cancer surveillance community to attend the NAACCR/IACR Combined Annual Conference, benefit from educational opportunities, and contribute to the conference by bringing international perspective and experience.

Geographic Scope: International; open to individuals from countries involved with the development and/or management of low-resourced population-based cancer registries. U.S. territories may be considered.

  • Eligibility:

  • Individuals working to establish or enhance a population-based registry in a low-resource setting

  • No more than two individuals from any registry/country will be considered

  • Economic need will be assessed

  • Applicant's credentials required

  • Statement of support from respective registry required

  • Contribution to conference activities and sessions will be assessed
  • Award Coverage:

  • Hotel accommodation

  • Conference registration fees

  • Up to $1,000 travel reimbursement for airfare and visa costs

  • Matching fellowship: applicant must provide documentation of ability to pay remaining expenses (airfare in excess of $1,000, taxi fares, food, tips, other living expenses)
  • Program Requirements:

  • Complete application submission required

  • Awardee must acknowledge and accept fellowship by email within 7 days of notification

  • Awardee must submit final travel plan and documentation of matching expenses at least 14 days prior to conference

  • Payment made via vouchers and coupon codes for registration and hotel

  • Direct payment for airfare and visa costs up to $1,000

  • Awardee must submit 1-3 page trip report within 30 days following conference
