Program Purpose

Giving Hope Inc. provides financial support to non-profit organizations throughout local communities to strengthen and nurture families and children. The organization seeks to build long-term relationships with organizations that provide programs benefiting children and families in need.

Funding Focus Areas

Giving Hope Inc. seeks to support non-profit organizations with focus on:

* Creating Opportunities for Special Needs children that may not otherwise exist
* Promoting Safe, Healthy, Nurturing Environments where children can belong
* Offering Educational, Recreational and Mentor Opportunities
* Supporting organizations that provide services to Low Income Communities/Meeting Basic Needs
* Non-profit organizations that align with corporate Mission, Vision and Values (B.I.N.G.O values: Be Present, Invest In Yourself, No Is Not An Option, Give Before We Get, Over Deliver)

Eligibility Requirements

Your organization MUST:
* Be a non-profit with IRS tax-exempt status 501(c)(3)
* Have a primary focus on children and families in need most
* Serve children and families located in Southeastern South Dakota
* Directly work with and/or benefit children (defined as under 18 years old)

Geographic Limitation: Organizations must be located in and serve populations in Southeastern SD

What Giving Hope Inc. Will NOT Fund

* Organizations that do not directly work with and/or benefit children (less than 18 years old) * Organizations outside of Southeastern SD * For-profit organizations * Individuals * Social or religious clubs * Government or political organizations * Public or private schools

Application Timeline

* Application Period: November 1 - December 30 (annually) * Grant Award Notification/Decline: By January 10 * Grant Distribution: Throughout first Quarter of year following application

Grant Requirements & Restrictions

* Maximum grant amount: $5,000 * Awarded funds must be used for the purpose described in the grant application * Any changes to the program or event must be approved by Giving Hope Inc. * A follow-up report on program/event outcome is appreciated one month after completion
