Gilead Medical Education Grants - Medical-Scientific Funding

Gilead Medical Education Grants provide funding for innovative, high-impact medical education programs aimed at enhancing the skills of healthcare professionals. The grants prioritize community-informed projects addressing critical health issues like HIV and liver diseases. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations and academic medical centers, with a focus on local impact. Requests should be submitted six to eight weeks before the program start date, ensuring timely support for initiatives that benefit vulnerable populations globally.

What We Fund
We support community-informed, data-driven programs that strengthen healthcare infrastructures and provide education and financial support to the most vulnerable communities around the world. Our corporate giving programs focus support where the need is greatest and we prioritize applications that demonstrate a strong capability to deliver the specific outcomes the grant would support.
We welcome funding requests for innovative, high-impact projects that relate to at least one of our core therapeutic areas:

We support high-impact continuing medical education programs that expand the knowledge and skills of healthcare providers. There are two funding pathways: Independent Medical Education (IMED) and Medical-Scientific.
Gilead has funded a range of Medical-Scientific programs, for example:

• Continuing medical education (CME accredited by ACCME or other organizations)
• Non-accredited CME in compliance with FDA guidelines
• Scientific conferences
• Lecture series or symposia
• Tumor boards or grand rounds

Eligibility

Nonprofit associations, organizations, community health centers, health systems and academic medical centers.These grants support smaller programs, often focused on a local or targeted audience.Attendance at Medical-Scientific events should be open to professionals in the community. The principal speaker may not be employed by, or the audience limited to, the funded organization.
