NOTE: Accepting Spring 2026 Applicants: December 15, 2025 Thru January 6, 2026. Applicants applying after the period will be considered if additional spots are available. Gerald & Sybil Cohen Family Foundation is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference for greater form Information Builders community. Gerald Cohen a co-founder of Information Builders Inc attended City College of New York in the 1950’s on scholarship. Sybil Cohen attended Hunter college in the 1950’s on a scholarship. In a way of giving back to his employees, this organization will assist his former employee’s children and others to attend public colleges.​ About the Scholarship The goal of the Scholarship Program is to help ease the burden of college costs, not fully cover the costs of attending a university. Scholarship awards are based on several factors, not including family income. Scholarships are available for public, in-state, or city college/university tuition. Scholarships are not renewable and award amounts can and do fluctuate. Scholarships are never guaranteed.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. The GSCFF.org Scholarship is open to US citizens age 18 or older at the time of entry. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA (or an 88% competency score). Studying STEM, or related field. A student who is currently enrolled in an accredited public college or university sophomore, junior or senior, located within the United States (“Entrant”).Student must be a resident of the state institution they are attending. Students in/beyond their second semester may apply for scholarships.

Ineligibility

Non-resident students not eligible.We do not intend to grant scholarships for first semester students.
